Dr. DeAsia Lawrence

Dr. DeAsia Lawrence was born and raised in Middletown, Connecticut. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Plymouth State University (Plymouth, NH). During her time in undergraduate, she was a four-year member of the Women’s Basketball Team.  Her extensive athletic background has allowed her to become very familiar with common injuries and the extent of the recovery process.

Soon after her undergraduate career, Dr. Lawrence had a profound first encounter with chiropractic. This experience changed how she viewed the medical field, health and wellness. She was inspired to pursue her doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL.  At Palmer, she gained knowledge and clinical experience with numerous adjusting techniques and essential techniques such as Activator method, spinal decompression and flexion-distraction. Her internship experience expanded her knowledge on a variety of musculoskeletal therapies including training in laser therapy and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) techniques such as Graston and myofascial cupping.

Dr. Lawrence takes pride in truly listening to her patients, providing personalized treatment plans and patient education. Her goal is to help patients understand the physiology of their pain. With this understanding, patients are motivated to be involved and proactive about their care. She has a passion for yoga practice and is eager to educate patients with stretches and exercises during the rehabilitation phase of care. Other hobbies outside of the office include pilates, roller skating, gardening, hiking, and beach days.
